sadescription A Refutation of Time
8mn16   color   mono   1999   USA
by Dan Boord & Greg Durbin & Luis Valdovino
"Using the device of an extraordinary lengthy piece of anonymous e-mail received by the narrator, the tape describes the kind of collapse of time and space and serendipitous chains of meaning that can occur using search vehicles on the internet. Juxtaposing various personalities including Will Rogers and Jorge Luis Borges; different geographical locations such as stops along Route 66, coincidence becomesmetaphor takes on the ring of truth." 7mn   color   mono   1999   France
by Yann Magnan
Edited images filmed in Super 8, some are not mine, but those of a friend-amateur-sensitive, dead beyond a bridge. These precedent images I wanted to do something with and mix with mine for the emotion of life.

sadescription Dieu est en réparation
15mn   color   mono   2001   France
by Sylvain Frebourg
"Dieu est en réparation"... is my first realization video. It acts upon an agressive confrontation between image and sound. The image haunted by the reflection; this parasite is the visual equivalent of feedback from sound. Their presence in the heart of the film represents the limit; it's when the image and the sound contain that which justifies their existence. This film is therefore the research of theobscurity behind each image and the silence behind each sound. This justifies the film beginning and ending in a cemetery.
